Pre Tan Instructions

Shower, shave and exfoliate at least 6-24 hours before your tan.

Please do not shower or shave closer to your appointment time even if you feel as though you need to. Use an exfoliating glove to scrub your entire body! Take care of waxing, manicures, and pedicures the day before your appointment. Please advise me if you had a mani-pedi so I can prep your skin. Skip lotion even if you have dry skin. I will provide you with a tan safe lotion to use if necessary. Remove deodorant and makeup before your appointment. You'll need clean, fresh skin.
I have wipes available for you if you are not able to remove deodorant before your appointment.

Tan Time

Remove your jewelry. Wear a swimsuit or your underwear, or disposable undergarments provided. Once dry, wear loose dark clothing and loose shoes.
Flip flops are best. No leggings, tight jeans, etc.

The type of solution you are tanned with will determine how long you will have to wait before getting
wet. It varies from 2 to 8 hours. Your tan needs time to set and during that time you will not be able to
get wet. That means no shower or exercise 24 hours post spray tan. Naturally, during the summer time is it hot and humid. You do not want to sweat the solution off or cause streaking so please do not plan to participate in outdoor events before your rinse time.
**In the event there is rain please be prepared with an umbrella, long pants, socks, and shoes.

Post Tan Instructions

Your first shower should be a rinse only, no soap.

Avoid using loofahs and any body washes with exfoliants during the life of the tan.

Use a mild and moisturizing shower gel. DO NOT USE DOVE or any skin firming, anti aging lotions. They are alcohol based and are known to fade tans. You may shave but the more you shave the quicker your legs will fade.
**Moisturize your skin daily, more than once a day if possible. Pat your skin dry. Never rub your skin with a towel as it can rub you tan off.

Maintenance

Make your tan last the longest by moisturizing daily and shower with a mild gel!

Avoid pools, hot tubs and baths. If you do participate in any be sure to get in and out, repeat. The longer you soak in water, the more your tan will fade. Wearing a waterproof sunscreen during pool or hot tub time will help protect your tan from fading. Spray tans will not protect you from the sun. Wear sunscreen! Avoid waxing or exfoliating of any type.

**Once your tan starts to fade you may exfoliate and scrub to remove what remains on your skin.
